About us

Within Your Pregnancy is an educational project of WITHIN Learning Group, LLC. We look at pregnancy before, within, and after through a biopsychosocial lens, as a mental health journey for parents and the developing child. We translate research on brain development and perinatal mental health into plain language for the people living it.

What we believe

A baby's mental health starts with the mental health of the people caring for them. Supporting parents is supporting babies.

For every family

This site is for everyone: every culture, religion, tradition, language, family shape, and financial situation. We care about all the babies in the world, and we believe a healthy, well-informed pregnancy is the first way to care for a baby.

Gentle by design

We share peer-reviewed research with care. Our goal is to educate, never to frighten or shame. Every fact comes with what you can do, and with compassion for real life.

Evidence first, human always

Our foundation is the biopsychosocial lens, and our content draws on peer-reviewed research and trusted health organizations (see our sources). Where philosophy, culture, spirituality, or personal reflection can enrich a topic, we say so clearly and keep it separate from the research. How we label what we share.

Guided by professional ethics

As a mental health education project, we are guided by the ACA, AMHCA, and APA codes of ethics. No ads, no sponsors, no analytics or tracking cookies. Our ethics

You don't have to wait until it's bad

These free US lines are for parents, partners, and anyone supporting them, during pregnancy and after.

Outside the US, contact your local emergency number or health service. If someone has confusion, hallucinations, or thoughts of harming themselves or the baby, call 911 or go to an emergency room.

Physical warning signs like chest pain, trouble breathing, a severe headache, or heavy bleeding during pregnancy or in the year after birth also need care right away. See urgent warning signs
